Working Cats

What is a Working Cat?

Working cats live their entire lives outdoors, "working" for their upkeep by capturing mike and other vermin. These cats are also referred to as "barn cats" or "mousers." They are often "feral" (not acclimated to living with humans) and usually stay in barns and other rural structures. Owners of working cats provide shelter, food, water and basic vet care.
