NOTE: 8/13/20: Due to high demand, the training program for new dog volunteers is temporarily suspended. When we resume training new dog volunteers, any applications submitted will be processed in order and applicants will be contacted to schedule training.
Volunteers play a vital role in fulfilling the mission of Williamson County Animal Center. For our pets to be at their optimum for adoption, many hours of human interaction are required. Our volunteers provide this vital socialization and training during daily sessions of grooming, walking, training and play.
Volunteering requires mandatory training from our staff and/or lead volunteers, plus a deep level of commitment and the maturity to deal with animals and the public in a positive way at all times.
Our Volunteer Coordinator is available during working hours for questions and assistance. They maintain regular communication with all volunteers through email, and keeps volunteers informed of upcoming special events where they can be of service.
